1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use constitute a binding agreement between you and In Parallel Oy ("we", "us", "our") concerning your access to and use of the Summit Portal platform (the "Portal"). In Parallel Oy is registered in Finland at Salomoninkatu 17 B 4, 00100 Helsinki.

By accessing or using the Portal, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated terms become effective when posted with a revised "Effective" date.

2. Portal Access

Access to the Portal is provided to registered event attendees via magic-link authentication. Your access is personal and non-transferable. You may not share your access link with others.

We reserve the right to revoke access at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

3. Intellectual Property

All Portal content — including source code, software, designs, text, graphics, session notes, insights, and AI-generated content — is owned by or licensed to In Parallel Oy or the respective event organisers.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access Portal content for personal, non-commercial use in connection with the events you are registered for. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit any content for commercial purposes without express written permission.

4. Event Content Confidentiality

Session content, speaker presentations, recorded session notes, insights, and AI-generated summaries are provided exclusively for registered attendees. You agree not to:

Redistribute or publish session content, notes, or recordings outside the Portal
Share AI-generated reports or chat transcripts publicly
Use event content for competitive intelligence without the organiser's consent

Event organisers may impose additional confidentiality requirements communicated during registration.

5. AI Features Disclaimer

The Portal includes AI-powered features such as "Ask AI" chat, personalised recommendations, and generated reports. These features:

Are provided for informational purposes only
May produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated responses
Do not constitute professional, legal, medical, or financial advice
Should not be relied upon as the sole basis for decisions

We make no warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content.

6. User Representations

By using the Portal, you represent that:

You have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms
You are a registered attendee of the relevant event(s)
You will not use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Portal
You will not use the Portal for any unlawful purpose
Any information you provide is accurate and current

7. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

Systematically retrieve data or content to create a collection or database
Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features
Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful material
Impersonate another person or entity
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any Portal software
Use the Portal to compete with In Parallel or its services
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data

8. User Data

You are solely responsible for data you submit to the Portal (e.g. LinkedIn profile text, chat prompts, interest tags). We process this data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We maintain reasonable backups but shall have no liability for loss or corruption of user-submitted data.

9. Availability and Modifications

We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove Portal content and features at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.

10. Disclaimer

The Portal is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We assume no liability for errors in content, personal injury, property damage, unauthorised access, interruption of service, viruses, or any third-party actions.

11. Limitation of Liability

In no event will In Parallel Oy, its directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Portal, regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify In Parallel Oy against any losses, claims, or expenses arising from: your use of the Portal, breach of these Terms, violation of any third-party rights, or any harmful actions toward other users.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland. The courts of Finland shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms.

14. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt informal resolution for a period of 30 days. Disputes not resolved informally shall be submitted to the competent courts of Helsinki, Finland.

15. Miscellaneous

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and In Parallel Oy regarding the Portal. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
