At In Parallel, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how we use them on the Summit Portal, the types of cookies we deploy, and your rights under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They enable websites to function efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide usage information to site owners.
The Summit Portal also uses browser local storage for certain preferences (such as interest tags and bookmarks), which functions similarly to cookies but is stored entirely in your browser.
Under GDPR, cookie placement requires either:
These are essential for the Portal to function. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |

__cf_bm | Cloudflare bot management | 30 minutes |
These are not cookies but local storage entries that remember your preferences. They stay in your browser until you clear them.
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Interest tags | Your selected "For You" interest topics |
| LinkedIn URL | Your saved LinkedIn profile URL for interest extraction |
The Summit Portal does not currently use third-party analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, LinkedIn Insight Tag). If we introduce analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and consent will be obtained before any analytics cookies are set.
The Summit Portal does not use marketing or advertising cookies.
The Portal is hosted on Cloudflare, which may set strictly necessary cookies for security and performance. No other third-party cookies are currently used.
Cloudflare operates a global network. Any cookie data processed by Cloudflare may transit through servers outside the EEA. These transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and Cloudflare's participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
Please note that disabling the session cookie will prevent you from accessing the Portal, as it is required for authentication.
To clear local storage data (interests, bookmarks), you can use your browser's developer tools or clear site data in your browser settings.
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect legal or operational changes. Material changes will be communicated via an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
